Most of my family live in, or are very near to London and enjoy the city at every opportunity. We are not from this part of England however, we were all born in Sheffield, but then began drifting, one by one, towards the south of England.
I began painting when I moved to Torquay briefly about 1o years ago and met a friend there who was a commission artist. She would suggest occasionally that I should try painting as I lived in a flat overlooking a beautiful seaview, called, Meadfoot beach. She said, ‘you really need to paint that view.’ So I did and realised I wasn’t as bad as I thought I would be…this led to a lifelong interest in all kinds of art.
I, and others are currently working very hard on a forthcoming art exhibition I will be holding this summer…having researched this for some time now and approaching local artists. I will let you know it’s progression.
